No disclaimer = legal risk + AdSense ban. Amazon shuts accounts without FTC disclosure.
In this tutorial, you'll add a disclaimer page to Blogger in 2025. Follow along and you'll comply with AdSense, Amazon, and FTC rules.
Step 1: Why Every Blogger Needs Disclaimer Page
Disclaimer protects you if readers lose money or get hurt following your advice.
- AdSense rule: Google requires Disclaimer + Privacy Policy for approval
- Affiliate rule: Amazon Associates, FTC law = must disclose affiliate links
- Legal protection: "Not financial advice" saves you from lawsuits
- Trust: Readers trust blogs that are transparent

Step 2: Create Disclaimer Page in Blogger
- Blogger → Pages → New Page
- Title:
Disclaimer - Switch to "HTML" view → Paste template from Step 3 below
- Edit [YourBlogName] and [yourdomain.com] with your details
- Click "Publish"
Step 3: Copy-Paste Disclaimer Template 2025
Use this template. Works for AdSense, Amazon, and general blogs.

Disclaimer for [YourBlogName]

Last updated: August 6, 2025

1. General Information

The information on [yourdomain.com] is for general informational purposes only. Step 4: Add Disclaimer to Footer + Menu
Disclaimer must be easy to find or it doesn't protect you.
- Layout → Footer section → Add Gadget → Pages → Check "Disclaimer" → Save
- Layout → Top menu Pages gadget → Edit → Check "Disclaimer" → Save
- Where to link: Footer, menu, and below affiliate links in posts
Step 5: FTC Affiliate Link Disclosure Rules 2025
| Where | What to Write | Placement |
| Blog post with links | "This post contains affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you buy." | Top of post, before first link |
| YouTube video | "Links in description are affiliate links." | Spoken in video + description |
| Social media | #ad or #sponsored or #affiliate | Start of caption |
| Disclaimer page | Full affiliate disclosure text | Footer link sitewide |
Bad practice to avoid: Hiding disclosure at bottom in 8px font. FTC fines $50,000 for hidden disclosures. Must be clear and visible.
Important: Disclaimer is not legal advice. For finance/health niches, hire a lawyer. Update date yearly. Amazon checks disclaimer page during account review. No disclaimer = instant ban.
