Want to start a blog for free? Blogger is the easiest platform in 2025. You only need a Gmail account. No hosting, no coding, no money.
In this guide, you’ll create your Blogger account and publish your first blog in under 5 minutes. Follow every step with screenshots.
What You Need Before Starting
- Gmail account – If you don’t have one, create Gmail here first.
- Blog name idea – Example:
Blogger Tutorial 2026. You can change it later. - 5 minutes – That’s all it takes.
Step 1: Go to Blogger.com
1. Open your browser and go to: www.blogger.com
2. Click the red button: “Create Your Blog”

Step 2: Sign In With Gmail
1. Google will ask you to sign in. Choose your Gmail account.
2. If asked, click “Continue to Blogger”
Note: Use your main Gmail. This becomes your admin account. Don’t use a school/work email you might lose.
Step 3: Confirm Your Blogger Profile Name
1. Blogger asks: “Confirm your profile”. This is the name shown when you comment on other blogs.
2. Type a name like John Blogger or your blog brand name.
3. Click “Continue to Blogger”
This is NOT your blog name yet. It’s just your author name.
Step 4: Create Your First Blog
1. Click “Create New Blog”
2. Fill in 3 boxes:

3. Click “Create blog!”
Important: If your address is taken, add numbers: blogger-tutorial-2026-pro. You can connect a custom domain like .com later for free.
Step 5: You’re In! Welcome to Blogger Dashboard
After clicking “Create blog”, you’ll land in the Blogger dashboard. This is your blog control room.

From here you can:
- Posts → Write articles
- Pages → Create About, Contact pages
- Theme → Change design, upload NewsPlus
- Settings → Change title, description, SEO
