Always backup before editing HTML. One wrong delete = broken blog.

Step 2: How to Find Code in HTML Editor

Blogger HTML has 3000+ lines. Use search to find exact code.

 1. Click inside HTML editor → Press Ctrl + F on keyboard
 2. Search for:
→ Add code ABOVE this for fonts, AdSense
 3. Search for:
→ Add code BELOW this for header scripts
 4. Search for: </b:skin> → Add custom CSS ABOVE this line

Step 3: Safe Places to Add Code in Blogger HTML

Code TypeAdd Above/BelowExample Use
Google FontsAbove
Custom blog fonts
AdSense CodeAbove
Auto ads verification
Custom CSSAbove </b:skin>Change colors, fonts, layout
JavaScript WidgetAbove
Popup, chat widget, analytics

Step 4: How to Undo Mistakes in HTML Editor

 1. Made mistake? Don't click "Save" → Click "Cancel" → Reopen HTML editor
 2. Already saved? Theme → Backup dropdown → Restore → Upload backup XML
 3. Blog broken? Theme → Customize dropdown → Revert to classic theme → Re-upload backup
 4. Can't find error: Theme → Edit HTML → Top right → "Revert" → Undo last changes

Bad practice to avoid: Deleting random `

` or `` tags. Each opening tag needs a closing tag. One missing `
` = broken layout.

Step 5: HTML Editing Safety Rules 2025

 1. Rule 1: Backup theme before ANY edit. Theme → Backup → Download
 2. Rule 2: Edit one thing at a time. Save → View blog → Check if broken
 3. Rule 3: Copy code to Notepad first. If it breaks, paste old code back
 4. Rule 4: Never edit between `` tags unless you know CSS
 5. Rule 5: Use "Preview" button before "Save" to test changes

Important: After editing HTML, clear browser cache with Ctrl + F5 to see changes. Blogger caches old CSS for 10 minutes.
