Step 3: Logo Size and Format Rules 2025
| Rule | Best Practice | Avoid |
| File Format | PNG with transparent background | JPG with white box |
| Width | 200-300px for mobile friendly | Over 800px - slows blog |
| Height | 50-150px | Tall logos push content down |
| File Size | Under 100KB | Large files hurt speed |
Step 4: Add Alt Text to Logo for SEO
Google can't "see" images. Alt text tells Google what your logo is.
- Layout → Header → Edit → Click your uploaded image
- Find "Image alt text" box → Type:
YourBlogName Logo - Blogger Tutorials 2025 - Click "Save"
Bad alt text to avoid: "logo.png", "image". Google will ignore you.
Step 5: Mobile Logo Tips
- Test mobile: View your blog on phone. Logo should not overflow
- Too big? Layout → Header → Edit → Check "Shrink to fit"
- Still big? Go back to Canva → Resize to 200px width → Re-upload
- Retina screens: Upload 2x size for sharp logo. Example: 500x200px displays as 250x100px
Important: After adding logo, check Settings → Basic → Title. If you picked "Instead of title", your text title won't show but still exists for SEO.
